New Charity Partner: Homeless Oxfordshire

We’re really pleased to announce our new Charity Partner Homeless Oxfordshire. “Homeless Oxfordshire is the largest provider of supported temporary accommodation for homeless adults in the county. Each night we accommodate 220 people. But we are more than bricks and mortar. Through ten innovative projects, we provide the person-centred support people need to recover from homelessness for good.” We’re looking forward to volunteering with them soon. Stress Awareness Month

In 2014/15, the HSE (Health, Safety Executive) research showed that 16 million people were experiencing mental ill health problems each year and stress was a key factor with 440,000 people (40% of all work-related illness) in the UK reported work-related stress at a level they believed was making them ill.   A poll that You HR recently ran showed that an overwhelming majority found workload caused them the most stress.  Psychological problems, including stress, anxiety and depression, are behind one in five visits to a GP. We feel strongly that neurodiversity – the different ways in which the brain can work and interpret information – should be acknowledged within the workplace.
